Hi Janine, sometimes even a great facilitator can't take a board where it needs to go in only 4 hours. They needed more time because of internal disagreements that we had to address. They are still working on the plan thru the executive committee.

The agenda above needs prep time with key board leaders - and some "pre" discussions in smaller groups in order to accomplish its goals.

I think you need to allocate a full day plus prep time in order to achieve the outcome you want. Let me know how you do!

what was the outcome? I am getting ready to identify a facilitator and embark on our board's first retreat and planning session. Guidance and insight appreciated.
